New Delhi: India registered 2,876 fresh Covid cases and 98 fatalities in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
With this, the cumulative death toll due to the Covid pandemic has reached 5,16,072.
The active cases across the country stand at 0.08%, taking the total active caseload to 32,811.
Nearly 3,884 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative recoveries to 4,24,50,055, it said.
Yesterday, the county registered 2,568 new cases in 24 hours.
A day prior to that, the country registered 2,503 fresh Covid cases and 27 deaths in 24 hours.
On Monday morning, the country registered 3,116 fresh Covid cases in 24 hours, which was the lowest single-day figure in 673 days.
The country also registered 47 Covid fatalities during the previous 24 hours.
A day earlier, the country registered 3,614 fresh Covid cases in 24 hours.
On Friday morning, 4,194 fresh Covid cases and 255 fatalities were recorded across the country in 24 hours.
