New Delhi: India registered 1,938 fresh Covid cases and 67 fatalities in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
With this, the cumulative death toll due to the Covid pandemic has reached 5,16,672.
Following a continuous downward trend, the country’s active caseload has declined to 22,427 constituting 0.05% of total positive cases.
Nearly 2,531 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative recoveries to 4,24,75,588, it said.
The country’s daily positivity rate now stands at 0.29% and weekly positivity rate at 0.35%
Yesterday, the country registered 1,778 fresh Covid cases and 62 fatalities in 24 hours.
