India registers 949 new Covid cases, 6 deaths

New Delhi: India registered 949 fresh Covid cases and six fatalities in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.

With this, the cumulative death toll across the country has reached 5,21,743 while the country’s active cases have declined to 11,191.

Nearly 810 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative recoveries to 4,25,07,038, it said.

The country’s daily positivity rate now stands at 0.26% and weekly positivity rate at 0.25%.

Yesterday, the country registered 1,007 fresh Covid cases and one fatality in 24 hours.

The country registered 1,088 fresh Covid cases and 26 fatalities during the previous 24 hours.

A day prior to that, the country registered 796 fresh Covid cases and 19 fatalities in 24 hours.

On Monday morning, the country registered 861 fresh Covid cases and six fatalities during the previous 24 hours.
