Single-day Covid cases in India double to 2,183

New Delhi: India saw a huge jump in Covid numbers in the last 24 hours, with 2,183 fresh cases being registered during this period against 1,150 cases recorded the same time the previous day.

The single-day fatalities across the country rose to 214, taking the cumulative death toll to 5,21,965.

The country’s daily positivity rate now stands at 0.83% and weekly positivity rate at 0.32%.

Nearly 1,985 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative recoveries to 4,25,10,773, it said. 

Yesterday,  the country registered 1,150 fresh Covid cases and four fatalities in 24 hours.

A day prior to that, the country registered 975 fresh Covid cases and four fatalities in 24 hours.

On Friday morning, the country registered 949 fresh Covid cases and six fatalities in 24 hours.

A day earlier, the country registered 1,007 fresh Covid cases and one fatality within 24 hours.

The country registered 1,088 fresh Covid cases and 26 fatalities during the previous 24 hours.
