New Delhi: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has expressed confidence that Delhi University would help establish India as knowledge based society.
” I am confident that University of Delhi will play a leading role in churning out global citizens, establishing India as a knowledge-based society and in creating a benchmark model for emerging economies, ” he said at a function to mark 100th Foundation Day of the university.
In its 100 years journey, DU has inspired and has also provided leadership to the country. I am confident that in the days ahead DU will establish itself as an incubator of the world in offering solutions to global problems, he added.
Education Minister further expressed hope that University of Delhi would take a ‘Sankalp’ to go paperless.
In the next 100 days, DU should aspire to offer viable solutions to India’s top-100 problems as well as solutions for mitigating global challenges, like climate change, he added.
