New Delhi: India registered 3,157 fresh Covid cases and 26 fatalities in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
With this, the cumulative death toll across the country has reached 5,23,869 and the country’s active cases stand at 19,500.
Nearly 2,723 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative recoveries to 4,25,38,976, it said.

The country’s daily positivity rate now stands at 1.07% and weekly positivity rate at 0.70%.
Yesterday, the country registered 3,324 fresh Covid cases and 40 fatalities in 24 hours.
On Saturday, the country registered 3,688 fresh Covid cases and 50 fatalities in 24 hours.
The country registered 3,377 fresh Covid cases and 60 fatalities a day before within 24 hours.
A day prior to that, the country registered 3,303 cases and 39 fatalities in 24 hours.
On Wednesday morning, the country registered 2,927 fresh Covid cases and 32 fatalities in 24 hours.
A day earlier, the country registered 2,483 new Covid cases and 1399 fatalities in 24 hours.
