New Delhi: India registered 2,628 fresh Covid cases and 18 fatalities within the span of 24 hours yesterday, the Health Ministry said today.
With this, the cumulative death toll across the country has reached 5, 24,525.
Nearly 2,167 patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours, taking cumulative recoveries to 4,26, 04,881, it said.

The country’s active caseload currently stands at 15,414, the Ministry said.
Yesterday, the country registered an increase of 2,124 cases andn17 fatalities.
A day prior to that, the country registered 1,675 new Covid cases and 31 deaths in 24 hours.

The country reported 2,022 new Coronavirus cases and 46 deaths registered within 24 hours, a day earlier.
On Saturday last, 2,323 fresh Coronavirus cases and 25 fatalities, registered in the preceding 24 hours, were reported.
A day earlier, the country reported the registration of 2,259 new Covid cases and 20 deaths during a span of 24 hours.
