India registers slight dip in fresh Covid cases

New Delhi: India witnessed a slight dip in single-day Covid cases, with 10,256 new Covid cases being registered in the last 24 hours, against 10,725 cases recorded a day earlier.

According to Union Health Ministry, the country registered 68 fatalities in the last 24 hours.

With this, the cumulative death toll due to the pandemic since 2020 rose to 5,27,556.

The country’s active caseload stood at 90,707 constituting 0.20% of the total Covid cases, it said.

The recovery rate is currently at 98.60%, with 13,528 patients being recovered in the last 24 hours, the ministry said.

With this the cumulative recoveries across the country have reached 4,37,70,913, it said.

The daily positivity rate stands at 2.43% and the weekly positivity rate is at 3.02%, the Ministry said.

With the administration of 31,60,292 Covid vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, the country’s cumulative vaccination coverage has reached 211.13 crores.

Yesterday, the country registered 10,725 fresh Covid cases in 24 hours.

A day prior to that, the country registered 10,649 fresh Covid cases in 24 hours.
