New Delhi: A total of 6,422 fresh Covid cases were registered in the country along with 34 deaths in a span of 24 hours yesterday, the government said today.
With this, the cumulative death toll due to the pandemic since 2020 rose to 5,28,250.
The country’s active caseload stood at 46,389 constituting 0.1% of the total Covid cases, Union Health Ministry said.
The recovery rate is currently at 98.7%, with 5,748 patients being recovered in the last 24 hours, the ministry said.
With this the cumulative recoveries across the country have reached 4,39,41,840, it said.
The daily positivity rate stands at 2.04% and the weekly positivity rate is at 2.04%, the Ministry said.
With the administration of 31,09,550 Covid vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, the country’s cumulative vaccination coverage has reached 215.98 crores.
