New Delhi: India witnessed a slight dip in single-day Covid cases, with 3,011 new Covid cases being registered in the last 24 hours, against 3,375 cases recorded a day earlier.
According to Union Health Ministry Ministry, the country registered 8 fatalities in the last 24 hours.
With this, the cumulative death toll due to the pandemic since 2020 rose to 5,28,701.
The country’s active caseload stood at 36,126 constituting 0.08% of the total Covid cases.
The recovery rate is currently at 98.73%, with 4,301 patients being recovered in the last 24 hours, the ministry said.
With this the cumulative recoveries across the country have reached 4,40,32,671, it said.
The daily positivity rate stands at 2.23% and the weekly positivity rate is at 1.31%, the Ministry said.
With the administration of 1,70,034 Covid vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, the country’s cumulative vaccination coverage has reached 218.77 crores.
Yesterday, the country registered 3,375 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours.
