Rajouri (J&K): Two children were killed and 6 others injured today in an IED explosion at the house of one of the victims of last evening’s terror attack in this district, bordering Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).

At least 3 Hindus were killed and 10 injured yesterday at around 7 pm when unidentified terrorists fired at them in Dangri village of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, going house by house.

Even as the terrorists remained elusive, an IED left by them exploded this morning at the house of one of the victims, according to the police.

Two children were killed and 6 others were wounded in the blast in Dangri village, police said.

The IED had been placed under a pile of jute bags, ADGP Mukesh Singh told reporters.

One more IED was found and was defused before it could cause harm.

Replying to questions, the ADGP said the number of terrorists responsible for the attack numbered 2 and a hunt was underway to track them down.

An alert has been sounded in Rajouri and adjoining districts and a hunt launched to track down the culprits.

DGP Dilbag Singh visited the families of the victims and expressed confidence that the culprits would be tracked down soon.

The terror attack in Rajouri in Jammu region comes barely a few days after police and security forces intercepted a group of 4 heavily-armed terrorists in Jammu district and killed them in an encounter.
