Samba, July 21 (NVI): Former Chief Minister & National Conference (NC) Vice President Omar Abdullah on Sunday expressed confidence in his party’s ability to form the next government in Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking at a party event in Samba, Omar Abdullah as per News Vibes of India—(NVI), Abdullah highlighted the strengths and concerns that emerged during the recent parliamentary elections.

“We have come to understand our strengths and areas where we need to improve, thanks to the insights gained during the parliamentary elections,” Abdullah said.

“Our party has a clear vision for the future of Jammu and Kashmir, and we are committed to working for the welfare and development of our people.”

Abdullah also emphasized the need for unity within the party and urged members to work together to achieve their common goals.

“We must remain united and focused on our objectives. Together, we can overcome any challenges and ensure a brighter future for our region.”

The NC leader criticized the current administration’s handling of various issues, including the security situation and development projects.

He said that promises made with the people of Jammu and Kashmir by the BJP govt have proved hoax on ground.

He said that NC got the highest number of votes in J&K in recent parliamentary elections despite not fielding it’s candidates in Jammu division and it is evident that NC will emerge as largest party in upcoming elections and form government.

He assured that, if elected, the NC government would prioritize addressing these concerns and work towards the betterment of Jammu and Kashmir.

“Some people are saying the situation has deteriorated and hence, there should be no elections. What happened to you? Are we so weak or the situation worsened so much that there are no chances of holding elections? We held elections in 1996 and you have to agree that there is a difference of heaven and earth between the situation at that time and today,” he said.

“Those who do not want to hold elections (in J&K) should tell that we are bowing before the gun-toting forces and are accepting defeat, besides ignoring the sacrifices of our forces. You tell our enemies that we will lay down without fighting,” he said.

“If you want to bow before such forces then don’t go for the (assembly) elections. We have no objection because this election is taking place on the orders of the Supreme Court which has set a deadline of September 30

Omar Abdullah’s confidence in forming the next government comes as the political landscape in Jammu and Kashmir continues to evolve, with various parties gearing up for the upcoming elections.

The NC’s performance in the recent parliamentary elections has given the party a renewed sense of purpose and determination to succeed in the elections.    (News Vibes of India)
