Indian Army foils fresh infiltration bid, one soldier injured

Srinagar, July 23 (NVI) : The Indian Army today said it has foiled an Infiltration bid in Battal sector of Rajouri district in Jammu region during which one soldier was injured in gunfight.

“Alert troops foiled an infiltration bid by effectively engaging infiltrating terrorists with effective fire in the Battal Sector at 0300h.” The Army said in a post on ‘X’.

‘During the exchange of heavy fire, one braveheart has been injured. Operations are continuing,” it added.

This incident comes a day after some terrorists attacked the house of a member of Village Defence Committee (VDC) in Rajouri in which his uncle got injured.

The nearby army unit reacted leading to an encounter.
