Srinagar, July 31 (NVI): A girl jumped into river Jhelum in Habba Kadal area of Srinagardistrict on Wednesday evening.
An official told News Vibes of India—(NVI) that an 17 year old girl jumped into river Jhelum at Habba Kadal.
He said that soon after the incident locals along with police and SDRF started a rescue operation and efforts are on to save the girl.
He said that the reason behind taking this extreme step wasn’t immediately known.
Meanwhile police have taken cognizance and started an investigation. (News Vibes of India)
