Srinagar, Aug 05 (NVI): Jammu and Kashmir’s Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, who is also looking after Health & Medical Education, recently praised the advancements in healthcare services across the region.
R.R.Bhatnagar said that the significant progress made over the past few years in delivering high-quality healthcare services to residents of Jammu and Kashmir.
Bhatnagar emphasized the substantial improvements in health infrastructure, noting the establishment of new medical colleges, upgraded district hospitals, and state-of-the-art healthcare facilities.
These initiatives have increased the capacity to provide specialized medical services and have reduced the need for patients to seek treatment outside the region.
He attributed the advancements to the government’s focused efforts on enhancing quality care through recruitment of skilled medical professionals, implementation of advanced medical technologies, and ensuring the availability of essential medicines and equipment.
Bhatnagar also mentioned the successful implementation of public health initiatives aimed at addressing various health challenges. Programs targeting maternal and child health, communicable diseases, and lifestyle-related ailments have shown positive outcomes, contributing to improved overall health indicators in the region.
