Pak yet again violates ceasefire, India gives ‘befitting’ response

Jammu (NVI): In repeated incidents of unprovoked ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC), the Pakistan Army yesterday resorted to firing of small arms and shelling with mortars in the Akhnoor sector of Jammu district, Defence official told NVI.

The Indian Army gave a befitting reply, he said.

Ceasefire violation continued with Pakistani troops firing intermittently, which began in the early morning at around 0400 hrs yesterday, the official said.

The provocation by Pakistani troops continued till 2200 hrs, the official added.
