Mumbai (NVI): BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis today resigned as the Maharashtra chief minister merely three days after he took oath in a controversial turn of events.
In his resignation speech, Devendra Fadnavis pinned the blame for a short-lived government on NCP leader Ajit Pawar, who has switched sides twice actually in three days.
Earlier today, Ajit Pawar has resigned as deputy chief minister of Maharashtra after Supreme Court ordered floor test in Maharashtra Assembly for Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to prove majority in the House on November 27.
On November 23, Devendra Fadnavis took oath as the state’s Chief Minister along with NCP leader Ajit Pawar as his deputy.
