Former Minister Choudhary Zulfikar to join BJP

Srinagar, Aug 17 (NVI):- Choudhary Zulfikar Ali, a prominent politician and former minister in Jammu and Kashmir, is set to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) tomorrow.

Zulfikar, who has previously been associated with various political parties including the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has held significant positions such as Cabinet Minister for multiple departments including Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, and Tribal Affairs.

He was also a founding member of the Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP), where he served as Vice President.

His move to the BJP is expected to strengthen the party’s presence in the region.

On Saturday, he met Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi where he claimed that he raised various issues.

“Had a nice Meeting with Jb Amit Shah Sb at Delhi and discussed various issues pertaining to Rajouri & Poonch besides Political scenario in the Region.” Choudhary Zulfikar said in a post on ‘X’.  (News Vibes of India)
