Srinagar, Aug 31 (NVI): Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of the Jammu and Kashmir UT, P K Pole today said that all the arrangements for the phase-one Assembly elections have been finalized and from tribals to urbans, polls belong to all.
“I am expecting huge participation of people of all sections, especially youth. Election is not just for one particular community, It is for all—from tribals to urbans to youth and elderly,” he said while talking to reporters on the side-lines of a function at Kilam area of Kulgam district of South Kashmir.
The CEO said that campaigning will gain momentum now as the dates for the filing of nomination papers is over. “Date of withdrawal of papers is also over. Now candidates will campaign everywhere,” he said.
Election teams, he said, are also on way to their respective polling booths. “We are committed to ensure free and fair elections in the UT,” Pole said. (News Vibes of India)
