Army Paramedic saves Civilian after snake bite in Poonch

Jammu, Sep 01(NVI): Timely intervention by an Indian Army paramedic saved the life of a civilian who was snake-bitten in Jaran wali Gali, Poonch, on morning, officials said.

“The incident occurred at about 9:00 AM this morning, where MD Rashid had been bitten by a snake. He was rushed to the nearest MI room at the Indian Army post immediately at Jaran wali gali. By the time Rashid arrived, he already was in pretty bad shape and his vital signs had become unstable,”

It reads, realizing the severity of the situation, the staff administered anti-snake venom in order to counteract the venomous effect. Besides, hydrocortisone was administered to Rashid in order to avoid inflammation and allergic reactions.

“Thanks to timely action by the paramedic, Rashid’s condition stabilized. The doctors referred him to the Sub-District Hospital at Surankote for further medical treatment and observation,” it reads further.(NVI)
