Jammu, September 15 (NVI): A viral video which draws attention to claim lack of billet accommodation for a company of State Armed Police that was from outside the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory (JKUT) which had arrived in Bishnah for election duties.
The Jammu Police dealt with the issue in hand promptly; all grievances had been resolved in the same day, said a Police spokesperson as quoted in a statement issued to News Vibes of India (NVI).
He said that shortly after the grievances were brought to notice accommodation in suitable lodging was provided to the concerned persons.
Meanwhile, the Jammu police reasserted that all personnel of ECI deputed for election duties will be provided with adequate resources and facilities so that they can function smooth for hassle-free smooth conduct of the process.
All the arrangements, according to police officials, are in place, and support is provided to the forces in areas involved during the election period.—(NVI)
