Shopian, Sep 15 (NVI): A scuffle broke out between the supporters of Independent candidate Aijaz Ahmad Mir and National Conference (NC) candidate Showkat Hussain Ganie in Dachoo Nagbal, Shopian, Police said here.
According to a tweet by Shopian Police, no injuries were reported during the altercation. The Police have noted a violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) and have initiated the necessary action in response to the incident.
“There was a scuffle between workers of Aijaz Ahmad Mir(Ind) and Showkat Hussain Ganie(NC) at Dachoo Nagbal. No injuries reported. MCC violation reported and necessary action initiated,” wrote the Shopian police on X.” —(NVI)
