Srinagar, Sep 20 (NVI): Amid charged up political atmosphere in Kashmir, Er Rashid’s son Abrar Rashid today intruded into the National Conference bastion Zadibal in downtown, Srinagar. He lured voters on the pretext that “NC flags red in colour as it is drenched in the blood of innocent Kashmiri people.”

As his father Er Rashid, the Awami Itehad Party (AIP) chief’s throat is down due to continuous election campaigning, now Abrar is trying his best to garner support for his father—the North Kashmir Member Parliament, who was released on a bail till October 4. Abrar’s entry in downtown’s Zadibal amounts to “entry of a cub into Lion’s den.”              “You have tested all political parties—NC, Congress and PDP. What have they given you other than the bloodshed and miseries,” Abrar said addressing a gathering. Zadibal is one of the significant eight assembly constituencies in old city Srinagar.

“These red flags with plough sign have deceived you. These flags are red as they are drenched in the blood of one lakh innocent Kashmiris killed in the past 35 years,” he said.
He said PDP was also responsible for showing “dreams” to the people of Kashmir. “This party deceived people in 2014 elections by claiming that vote for PDP was a must to prevent entry of BJP into J&K. Later, what happened, they joined hands and result is before you all,” Abrar said.

He said his father was called as “BJP agent” but the BJP agent would never spend five years in Tihar jail. “How can the agent of a ruling party be lodged in Tihar jail for five years,” said Abrar. He asked the voters to vote for change this time as all political parties have brought pain and agony for the people of Zadibal and Srinagar.
