Peshawar: A group of suicide attackers today stormed the Police Headquarter in Bannu district of Khyber Pakthunkhwa Province in Pakistan, killing and injuring over a dozen security personnel.
The group of 5 attackers entered the high-security premises by firing indiscriminately, forcing the security personnel to run for cover, according to eye witnesses.
Intense gunfight ensued and continued for over 3 hours.
So far, the authorities have confirmed the death of 3 police personnel and said several others were injured.
They said 4 attackers were also killed and a clearance operation was underway.
