Srinagar, Oct19(NVI): National Conference (NC) leader Mubarak Gul was sworn in as the Protem Speaker of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly today.
The oath-taking ceremony was held at the Raj Bhawan in Srinagar and was administered by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
Gul will assume the role of Protem Speaker to facilitate the conduct of the Assembly’s inaugural session.
As Protem Speaker, his primary responsibility will be overseeing the swearing-in of the newly elected members and managing proceedings until a permanent Speaker is elected. (News Vibes of India)
