Pulwama, Oct 23 (NVI): District President of Pulwama, Umer Jaan, has urged the government to ensure the timely completion of several critical bridge projects that have been long overdue in the district.

In a statement, Jaan highlighted the hardships faced by local residents due to the delayed construction of the Ruma Reshi Bridge at Rahmoo, the Dogripora Bridge connecting to the national highway, and the Lelhar-Kakpora Bridge.

Jaan emphasized the need for the government to take a time-bound approach to complete these essential infrastructure projects. “The present government must ensure that these bridges are completed on time. The delay in construction is causing severe inconvenience to the people, particularly farmers, students, and daily commuters, who are forced to take long and inconvenient detours,” he said.

The Congress leader stressed that these bridges are not only vital for transportation but also for improving access to essential services such as healthcare, education, and local markets. He urged the government to prioritize these projects to ease the burden on the local population and avoid further delays.

“The people of Pulwama deserve infrastructure that is completed on time. The government should take immediate and serious steps to finish these bridges, as the delays are worsening the situation for the public,” Jaan added.

Local residents have welcomed Jaan’s intervention, hoping that the government will act swiftly to complete these much-needed projects, which will significantly improve connectivity and quality of life in the region.   (News Vibes of India)
