Jammu/Srinagar, Nov 29 (NVI): The Jammu and Kashmir government has dismissed two employees from service with immediate effect, citing security concerns and activities deemed detrimental to the state’s safety.

The dismissals, ordered by the Lieutenant Governor under sub-clause (c) of the proviso to clause (2) of Article 311 of the Indian Constitution, bypassed the requirement for a formal inquiry, as allowed in matters involving “state security.”

According to official orders, copies of which are with the NVI, issued by the General Administration Department, Zahir Abbas, a teacher in the School Education Department from Badhat Saroor in Kishtwar, and Abdul Rehman Naika, a pharmacist in the Health and Medical Education Department from Qasba, Devsar in Kulgam, were relieved of their duties.

The orders stated that both employees were found to be involved in activities that posed a serious threat to the security of the state, justifying their immediate removal. The decision was made in the “interest of state security” and takes effect immediately.
