Srinagar, Dec 08(NVI): Jammu and Kashmir is set to experience a mix of light snowfall, rain and dry spells over the next ten days, according to the latest forecast issued by the local weatherman.
On December 8, cloudy weather will dominate the J&K, with light snowfall expected in the higher reaches of Kashmir. In the evening, a minor rain spell is possible in some parts of the Jammu region.
Independent weather forecaster Faizan Arif predicts a 35 percent chance of light snowfall in south Kashmir during the morning hours of December 9. The afternoon will bring partly cloudy to sunny skies. Light rain and snow are also expected in Doda, Kishtwar, Kathua and Ramban districts with a 25 per cent chance of minor rain in other parts of Jammu.
December 10 and 11 will bring mostly dry weather across J&K though Ganderbal and Bandipora may see a minor snow spell in their higher reaches on December 11.
On Dec 12, a weak Western Disturbance is expected to bring light rain and snow to some areas of Kashmir, while the rest of the region will remain mostly dry. December 13 will see continued dry conditions, with the same expected through December 14-17.
Residents and travelers are advised to stay updated on weather conditions, especially in higher altitudes where snowfall may lead to disruptions. (News Vibes of India)
