Jammu, Dec 11(NVI): In a major breakthrough, security forces busted a terrorist hideout in the Mahore area of Reasi district, Jammu region and recovered large cache of arms and ammunition.
A police officer told NVI that suring the operation, a significant cache of arms and ammunition was recovered that includes, an AK-series rifle, two pistols, dozens of rounds and four grenades.
“The raid marks a significant step in countering terrorist activities in the area and underscores the continued vigilance of security forces in the face of potential threats,” the officer said.
The operation, which took place in a strategically sensitive area has been hailed as a major success in ensuring the safety and security of local civilians. Intelligence agencies had been monitoring the area for some time, leading to the precise identification of the terrorist hideout. The recovery of the weapons is expected to prevent potential attacks by terrorists in the Reasi district.
Police sources said the investigation into the hideout is ongoing and security forces have vowed to continue their efforts to eliminate terrorist networks operating in the Reasi district(News Vibes of India)
