Srinagar, Dec 27 (NVI): An earthquake of magnitude 4.0 jolted Kashmir today evening at causing brief panic across the region.
The epicenter was located in Baramulla district at latitude 34.26°N and longitude 74.44°E, with a depth of 10 kilometers. The tremors were felt across several parts of the Kashmir Valley, particularly in the Baramulla area.
While the earthquake prompted concerns among local residents, no immediate reports of casualties or significant damage have been received. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation, with teams on standby to assess any potential impacts.
