Heavy snowfall in Kashmir brings joy to children as they make Snowman, Snowteddy

Srinagar, Dec 28 (NVI): As the heavy snowfall blanketed Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir transforming the region into a picturesque winter wonderland, children were seen out to try their hands on snow to carve snowman and other items of their choice.

As the snowflakes continued to fall, children eagerly rushed outside to embrace the rare sight, making snowman,snow articles and creating lasting memories in the frosty landscape.

In the heart of Srinagar, children could be seen happily playing in the thick snow, some constructing intricate snowmen with button eyes and carrot noses, while others enthusiastically shaped snow into various portraits and figures.

“I have been waiting for this snow for weeks!” said 10-year-old Ayaan Ahmed, as he proudly showed off the snowman he had just built with his friends. “It’s so much fun to make things with the snow. I even made a snow portrait of my friend Sara!”

Sidra, who was seen putting the finishing touches on a snow version of herself, smiled widely and said, “This is the best day ever. It’s like a big canvas for all of us. I made my face in the snow, and everyone is laughing and enjoying!”

Local residents embraced the festive atmosphere as the streets filled with the laughter and excitement of children. For many, it was not just about the snow, but the chance to connect with nature and partake in a cherished tradition.

“I love watching the kids play in the snow. It brings so much joy and energy to the community,” said Naseem Akhtar, a local shopkeeper in the city. “The snowfall has brought a different kind of magic to our daily lives today.”
