Srinagar, Jan 28(NVI): In a terrifying turn of events near Jambu Zoo in Nagrota, Jammu and Kashmir, a bus carrying religious pilgrims from Jammu to Katra collided with a stationary tipper, leaving 13 devotees injured.
The incident occurred unexpectedly, sending shockwaves through the local community as the bus, filled with hopeful pilgrims on their journey to the revered Mata Vaishno Devi shrine, suddenly came to a halt after the violent crash.
Local authorities rushed to the scene, swiftly taking the injured to the Government Medical College (GMC) and hospital in Jammu for immediate treatment. Fortunately, despite the severity of the collision, there were no reported fatalities, a relief to the pilgrims and their families.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation, with police having registered a case and begun examining the circumstances surrounding the crash. As the community awaits further updates, questions are being raised about the safety protocols for such heavily trafficked pilgrimage routes.
