Peshawar: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) today condemned the killing of three youth in Khyber Agency on charges of “spying” and reminded the Pashtuns that the Pakistani military is a common “enemy” which should be fought jointly by the Islamist organisation and the ordinary community members.
“Sad news has been received that three youth have been killed in the Bara Tera Maidan district of Khyber province on charges of espionage. Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan strongly condemns this incident,” its spokesman Muhammad Khorasani in a statement today.
“We pray for the forgiveness of the deceased, and we pray for patience and compensation for the survivors, and we share this grief with the families of the deceased,” he said.
Hinting at the role of Pakistani secret agencies in the killing of the 3 youth after their abduction, Khorasani said, “Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan wants to make it clear to all the brave people of Khyber that we (TTP) belong to this community (of Pashtuns) and this community is ours. Besides the religion, there are many other commonalities and relations.”
Apparently referring to the Pakistani military, he said, “The enemy is unable to tolerate harmony and closeness between us and is trying various means to create differences between us. So, we must jointly defeat the conspiracies of the enemy.”
At the end, he underlined, “Remember one thing, our real war is against the security institutions.” (NVI)
