Pakistani drones again violate Border with India in Jammu region

JAMMU, Jan 11 (NVI) Pakistani drones were spotted at a number of places in the forward areas near the Line of Control (LoC) and International Border (IB) in Jammu region today, prompting a major search operation at these places.

The Pakistani drones were spotted at various places in Samba, Rajouri and Poonch districts on Sunday evening, according to officials.

These flying objects hovered in these places and returned to Pakistan after spending some time in the Indian skies, they said.

Soon after, security forces launched a search operation in these areas to find out if these drones had dropped anything, like arms and ammunition as witnessed in Samba on Friday.

In Nowshera sector of Rajouri district, Indian Army troops fired at the drones from medium and light machine guns in Gania-Kalsian village along the LoC at around 6.35 pm on Sunday, they said.

Another drone was spotted in Khabbar village in Teryath in Rajouri district at 6.35 pm.

The flying object with a blinking light came from Dharmsal village in Kalakote and moved further towards Bharakh, the officials said.

A drone-like object, with a blinking light, was also seen in Chak Babral village of Ramgarh sector of Samba around 7.15 pm on Sunday.

Another drone-like object was seen moving from Tain towards Topa in the Mankote sector, located along the LoC, in Poonch district at 6.25 pm.

Earlier on Friday night, a Pakistan drone dropped a packet containing two pistols, three magazines, 16 bullets and a Chinese grenade in Paloora village of Ghagwal near the IB in Samba district. (NVI)
