Quetta, Feb 4 (NVI) Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) tonight said its ‘Operation Herof 2’ continues even after passage of 5th day, with its fighters “holding strong positions” at several locations across Balochistan after repelling Pakistani forces and killing at least 310 of the enemy personnel, as per conservative estimates.
The BLA, which launched coordinated and simultaneous attacks on Pakistani military and administrative installations at 48 places on January 31 morning, said, “the enemy is attempting to conceal its military defeat and casualties from the world.”
The freedom-seeking Baloch outfit said if the independent media wishes to verify the claims of BLA and conduct an impartial assessment of ground realities, they may visit any army camp, including those in Noshki, Dalbandin, Quetta, Kharan, Mastung, Gwadar, Pasni, Tump, and Turbat, to witness the extent of the defeat firsthand.
Issuing its latest statement some minutes back, the BLA said, “Operation Herof Phase 2 has entered its fifth day and continues across various areas of Balochistan. On multiple fronts, fighters of the Baloch Liberation Army are holding strong positions, and control remains intact at several locations.”
The statement, issued by BLA spokesman Jeeyand Baloch, said, “like on the previous days, the occupying forces are facing intense pressure, setbacks, and disarray on different fronts, while Baloch fighters continue to thwart the enemy’s military advances through sustained resistance.”
According to preliminary and conservative assessments, at least 310 personnel and operatives of the occupying Pakistani army, FC, police, CTD, and army-backed death squads have so far been killed, he said.
These figures are not final, and given the ground situation, further increases in the enemy’s human and material losses are likely, he added.
The spokesman said BLA has lost 46 of its fighters, including 29 fidayeen of the Majeed Brigade, 10 members of the Fateh Squad, and 7 fighters of the STOS unit in the operation so far.
Detailed and final information regarding the martyrs will be formally released at a later time, he added.
“It should be noted that all these figures are preliminary and non-final and may increase further. Complete details regarding the losses inflicted on the enemy and developments of the operation will be shared with the media at an appropriate time,” Jeeyand Baloch said. (NVI)
