Jammu, Mar 5 (NVI): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday termed Nitish Kumar’s decision to move to the Rajya Sabha as “noteworthy”, coming just three months after the elections.
Abdullah said Kumar, the longest-serving chief minister of Bihar, had served the state for a long time and it was natural that his tenure would eventually come to an end.
He said the development was primarily an internal matter of the Bihar government and its allies, but noted that Kumar was once a colleague in the INDIA Bloc.
“We thank him for the service he has rendered to the people of Bihar and wish him well. We hope he will play a positive and constructive role in the Rajya Sabha in the future,” Abdullah said.(NVI)
