Pulwama, Mar 7 (NVI): Director General of Police J&K, Nalin Prabhat, on Saturday reviewed the security situation and counter-terrorism operations in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, officials said.
The review meeting was held at the District Police Office Pulwama and attended by Special DG Coordination PHQ J&K S J M Gillani, IGP Kashmir Zone V K Birdi, DIG South Kashmir Range Javid Iqbal Matoo and SSP Pulwama Tanushree.
During the meeting, the DGP assessed the prevailing security scenario with a focus on ongoing counter-terror operations and overall law and order management in the district.
He directed officers to maintain sustained pressure on anti-national elements and remain vigilant against unlawful activities.
Prabhat also stressed the need for stronger intelligence gathering, better coordination among field units and proactive policing to tackle emerging security challenges.
He appreciated the efforts of the officers and personnel deployed in the district and urged them to continue working with professionalism and dedication to ensure peace and public safety in Pulwama, officials said.(NVI)
