Srinagar, Mar 20 (NVI): National Conference president Farooq Abdullah on Friday expressed concern over the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, warning that it could have far-reaching consequences for the entire world, including India.
Speaking to reporters here, Abdullah said the situation demands an immediate end to hostilities. “I pray that this war comes to an end, peace is restored, and people are able to live in comfort and safety,” he said.
He cautioned that the conflict could trigger serious global repercussions. “It will have a major impact — very severe consequences. Not only our country, but the entire world will be affected. That is why this war must stop as soon as possible,” he added.
The veteran leader also expressed hope that peace would prevail soon and relief would reach those affected. “The power of God is above all, and, God willing, peace will be restored,” he said.
Abdullah urged people to pray for peace and stability, emphasizing the need for collective efforts to promote harmony and end violence.(NVI)
