New Delhi, Mar 26 (NVI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Friday interact with Chief Ministers of various States and Union Territories through video conferencing to assess preparedness and response plans in view of the ongoing West Asia conflict.
Sources said the meeting will focus on ensuring coordinated efforts between the Centre and States to effectively deal with any potential challenges arising from the evolving situation.
This will be the first such interaction chaired by the Prime Minister on the issue since tensions escalated on February 28.
However, Chief Ministers of poll-bound States will not participate in the meeting due to the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct, while a separate review is expected to be held with their Chief Secretaries by the Cabinet Secretariat, sources added. (NVI)
