Jammu, Apr 1 (NVI): The Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday rejected a private member’s bill introduced by PDP MLA Waheed-ur-Rehman Para in the Legislative Assembly, which sought the regularisation of daily wagers.
Following the rejection, PDP legislators staged a walkout from the House, protesting the government’s decision and expressing strong dissatisfaction over its stance.
The bill aimed to address the long-pending demands of daily wagers employed across various government departments, who have been seeking regularisation and job security for several years.(NVI)
