Srinagar, May 25 (NVI): Additional Commissioner Kashmir Akramullah Tak on Monday reviewed arrangements for the arrival of Hujjaj at Srinagar Airport, with the return of pilgrims scheduled to begin from June 2, officials said.
During a meeting, officials discussed arrangements related to the reception of pilgrims, issuance of passes to officers, deployment of manpower for unloading and sorting luggage, smooth movement of pilgrims and attendants, parking facilities and distribution of ZamZam water, they said.
Tak stressed the need for close coordination among all concerned agencies, including Airlines, Airport Authority, CISF, BCAS, Air Force and CRPF, to ensure smooth and hassle-free Hajj arrival operations at the airport.
He directed all departments and agencies to extend full cooperation and provide necessary assistance for the convenience of the returning pilgrims.
The meeting was attended by ADC Srinagar, ADC Budgam and officers from the Airport Authority, Police, Health, R&B department and the Hajj office, officials added.(NVI)
