Jammu, June 6 (NVI): A joint cordon and search operation by the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) entered its 15th day on Saturday in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.

Security forces are continuing efforts to track down terrorists believed to be hiding in the dense forest areas of Gambhir Mughlan and Dorimal in the Manjakote sector, they said.

The operation was launched following intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists in the region. Multiple security agencies have been engaged in extensive search efforts, with troops maintaining a tight cordon around the suspected areas.

Officials said searches are being carried out in challenging terrain and thickly forested zones to prevent the militants from escaping.

No fresh contact with the terrorists has been reported so far, and the operation remains underway.

Further details are awaited. (NVI)
