Jammu, Aug 6 (NVI): Two old and rusted mortar shells were found in a forest area of Choki Sagra in the Mankote sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Thursday, officials said.
The shells were recovered from Ward No. 2 under the jurisdiction of Police Post Balnoi, they said.
An Army Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) later destroyed the unexploded shells at the site following standard safety procedures.
No loss of life or damage to property was reported during the disposal operation, the officials added.(NVI)
