Kathua, Aug 20 (NVI): Security forces on Thursday launched a search operation in the border areas of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district following reports of suspicious movement, officials said.
According to officials, the operation was initiated after security agencies received inputs about the movement of some suspicious persons in the area. Following the information, security personnel were mobilised and a search operation was launched as a precautionary measure.
The forces are carrying out searches in the suspected areas and checking possible routes and locations where the movement was reported. Security personnel have also intensified surveillance in the surrounding areas to rule out any possible threat.
