TTP says its 14 attacks killed, injured several Pakistani soldiers

Peshawar, Sept 12 (NVI) Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) tonight said it carried out 14 attacks on Pakistani military across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, in which many soldiers were killed and injured, including 16 in one assault in Kurram district.

It said posts of paramilitary Frontier Corps (FC) in Dand Qila and Santoi areas of South Waziristan district are currently under its siege and were periodically attacked though the day today.

These attacks are likely to have caused significant loss of life and property to the enemy – Pakistani military, TTP spokesman Muhammad Khorasani said.

In Kurram district, TTP ambushed personnel of Special Operations Group (SOG) of Pakistan in Dombki area.

The SOG team was proceeding to conduct a raid on TTP, the spokesman said.

In the ambush, 6 SOG personnel were killed and 10 were injured, he said.

The surviving members of the SOG team fled, leaving behind their dead personnel along with a large RAMB tank and weapons, he said.

In North Waziristan, he said TTP carried out a counter-attack on Pakistani military in Kulikhel in Mir Ali area and there was a strong possibility of enemy casualties.

In a separate counter-attack on Pakistani military in Khudri area of Mir Ali, there is a strong possibility of enemy casualties and property losses, Khorasani said.

There are also reports of casualties in an separate ambush on the military convoy in Ipi in Mir Ali, he said.

In the Dera Ismail Khan district, TTP carried out a drone attack on a military camp in Parwa, he said, adding there is a strong possibility of army casualties.

In Kalachi area of Dera Ismail Khan district, a six-vehicle army convoy was ambushed on Muddi road and there are reports of casualties.

TTP also carried out a counter-attack on Pakistani military in Khas Tank in Tank district, which resulted in casualties among the enemy along with property loss, the spokesman said.

In this gunfight, TTP lost one comrade, identified as Ghufran alias Muntazar Taqbala, according to the spokesman.

TTP also carried out a guerrilla operation on Pakistani military scouts in Lok Mamond in Bajaur district, in which there is a strong possibility of loss of enemy life and property.

TT also carried out a drone attack on Pakistani military in Peshawar, which resulted in injuries to two soldiers.

TTP also killed an army soldier and injured another in a sniper attack in Orakzai district two days back, the spokesman said. (NVI)
