Srinagar, Sep 25 (NVI) A Physical Education Teacher was arrested in connection with an alleged sexual harassment case involving a minor girl in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, police said on Friday.
A complaint was lodged at Police Post Aripal on Thursday alleging sexual harassment of a 15-year-old girl by the accused, identified as a Physical Education Teacher posted at a government high school in Aripal, they said.
Following the complaint, police registered an FIR under relevant sections of law at Police Station Tral and initiated an investigation.
During the investigation, the accused was apprehended and subsequently arrested after his alleged involvement was established through technical and human intelligence, police said.
Further investigation in the case is underway, they added.—(NVI)
