New Delhi, Sep 26 (NVI) : Leader of Opposition in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Sunil Kumar Sharma on Saturday met Union Home Minister Amit Shah here and discussed various issues concerning the Union Territory.
The meeting covered the security situation, law and order, development-related matters and issues linked to the ongoing Assembly session, according to sources.
Sharma apprised Shah of various concerns concerning the people of Jammu and Kashmir and discussed matters related to development and public welfare.
Sharma said the Home Minister reiterated the Union government’s commitment to peace, development and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Leader of Opposition also said Shah assured him of all possible support and cooperation in addressing issues concerning the Union Territory.
The meeting took place amid the ongoing session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, where several issues related to governance, development and public welfare are being discussed.—(NVI)
