New Delhi, Oct 1: The government has reduced the windfall tax on export of diesel and Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF), with effect from October 1.
According to a government order issued on Wednesday, the duty on diesel exports has been cut to Rs 16 per litre from Rs 20 per litre, while the levy on exports of aviation turbine fuel has been reduced to Rs 10.5 per litre from Rs 15 per litre.
The government, however, has kept the duty on petroleum exports unchanged at Rs 0.5 per litre.
The changes come as India continues to adjust taxes on petroleum product exports in response to international oil market conditions and domestic considerations. (NVI)
