New Delhi, Oct 25 (NVI): A joint counter-terrorism mock exercise was conducted at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in Delhi to simulate a terrorist attack and hostage rescue operation, officials said.
Personnel from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), National Security Guard (NSG), Delhi Police and other stakeholder agencies participated in the exercise.
The drill aimed to strengthen inter-agency coordination, assess operational preparedness and ensure a swift and coordinated response to potential security threats, they said.
The exercise also highlighted the importance of effective coordination among security agencies in enhancing aviation security and ensuring the safety of passengers and airport personnel.—(NVI)
