Jammu, Oct 31 (NVI): A rusted 51-mm mortar shell was found near a canal in Kanachak sector of Jammu on Saturday and subsequently defused by a bomb disposal squad, officials said.
According to officials, local residents informed Police Station Kanachak about the presence of the mortar shell near the canal (Nehar) at Kinare Panjore.
Following the information, a Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was called to the spot, which successfully defused the explosive device.
